Panelist & Instructor STOP THE BLEED® Course Presentation Resources

STOP THE BLEED® Panelists Assignments – Your panelist assignment determines which slides you will be presenting. I tried to be as consistent as possible. Please plan to log on at least 15 minutes before your scheduled presentation for a STOP THE BLEED® TIME OUT.

STOP THE BLEED® – Georgia-Specific Presentation – This is what you have been waiting for. The slides have a colored border in the left margin to serve as a guide to facilitate team instruction. Make sure you read through all of the instructor’s notes and take a look at the videos. Please let me know if you see any errors or have any concerns.

Slide Assignments – The slides have a colored border in the left margin to serve as a guide for panelists. Blue – Panelist 1, Red – Panelist 2, White – Panelist 3. If only two Panelists are present. Panelist 1 will do both moderator and Blue slides. Panelist 2 will do both the Red and White slides.

Georgia STOP THE BLEED® Awareness Presentations

Refresher and Awareness offerings provide abbreviated STOP THE BLEED® instruction and are designed to offer awareness-level training to audiences with time limitations. Great for staff meetings, in-services, etc, these offerings may include video instruction or abbreviated presentations. If including skills instruction and return skills demos by participants – reported as Skills Only courses in the Instructor Portal.

*Be sure participants are provided an adequate opportunity to practice all associated skills.

The Georgia Trauma Commission has developed a short video designed to review the key concepts of hemorrhage control for traumatic injury. Participants can watch the video and then complete our optional survey to be entered into our weekly drawing for National STOP THE BLEED® Awareness Month Prizes.

Post Course Survey

Participant attendance will be recorded during the session utilizing a survey tool provided by the program facilitators.

Those completing the optional post-course survey questions will be entered into drawings for eGift Cards, Bleeding Control Kits, and other supplies.

Additional Webinar Details

STOP THE BLEED® virtual courses are hosted in the Region 5 Regional Trauma Advisory Committee (RTAC) Virtual Classroom.

Participants can complete the virtual offering independently or as a part of an organized event. (ie: “watch party”)

Participants will receive a certificate of virtual STOP THE BLEED®course completion via email within one week of their chosen session.

Participants wishing to obtain a full STOP THE BLEED® certification or are interested in becoming a STOP THE BLEED® instructor must also complete a FREE skills check-off.

Details regarding how to set up an individual or small group practice and skills checkoffs will be provided on course completion.

While hands-on practice and skills checkoffs are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and necessary to obtain a STOP THE BLEED® certification, there is NO REQUIREMENT for scheduling in-person checkoffs for those participating in the STOP THE BLEED® Virtual Blitz. There is NO DEADLINE for in-person skills checkoffs.
